| I teach classical Yoga which draws from all of the main Yoga traditions.
Click here to find out more. My classes
last an hour and a half. The general format of a Yoga class
begins with relaxation and
breathing exercises. Then follows stretching exercises to release muscles
and areas of tension in the body. We then work through a variety of
poses -asanas – some standing, some sitting, some lying on your
back, on your front or on hands and knees etc... As you can see, Yoga
will gently encourage you to become more flexible. There will also
be some meditation or visualisation work. Don’t worry if you feel might in some way be physically limited,
be it because of pregnancy, a recent injury or a long-term disability.
Yoga is a very inclusive activity and can be easily adapted to suit all
ages and abilities. All I would ask is that you speak to me beforehand
and let me know about your situation. If you are uncertain about anything
then please ask. If you are pregnant I can adapt
postures for you accordingly. If you wish you can attend the Yoga
for pregnancy classes that I offer which are tailored specifically for women
during all stages of pregnancy.
Class Fee
Option 1: £6 per class for each session in the
month.
Paid in advance on the 1st class of the month – which will be 4 or 5 classes
depending how many weeks there are in the calendar month. Absence from sessions
will not normally qualify for a refund or credit.
Option 2: £7.50 per class. Pay as you go.
The above choices offer flexibility according to your circumstances
and remember that you are able to choose the option most appropriate
to your circumstances in each particular month. What you Need for Yoga
- It is recommended that you wear comfortable loose fitting clothing
as we will be bending and stretching a lot.
- When the body relaxes the body temperature falls very quickly so
you might wish to bring a blanket or towel to cover yourself with during
relaxation.
- People who practice Yoga regularly often bring their own Yoga mat
to classes. If you are new, don’t worry as I bring extra mats
to every class.
- First time students arrive 10 minutes early please
